Dan had some ideas in mind for the perfect engagement ring but had struggled to find the right jewellers to execute them. That was until he was warmly welcomed by Morgan, at Temprell. Our bespoke process started with an initial consultation in-store followed by a very relaxed conversation over WhatsApp. This allowed a few different ideas to be explored efficiently and without pressure.
Dan knew an oval cut diamond was to be the focal point in his design but it needed something more. Our expert created some visuals, in order to demonstrate different cuts of fancy shape diamonds alongside the oval. Dan decided on a cluster of marquise and round diamonds to create a stunning spread across the finger.
Once the concept had been finalised, our CAD team could plot the design using exact stone proportions. This allowed us to create life-like renders and resin moulds as precise replicas. Dan could give the go ahead without any hesitation.
From this point the ring was cast into 2 parts: 18ct yellow gold for the shank and platinum for the setting head. Each casting could then be individually polished before being hand set under microscope, with intricate talon claws. Simply breath-taking!
